Holland Fen with Brothertoft parish council meeting held on Tuesday 6th September 2022 in Holland Fen village hall at 7:30pm
In Attendance: with Councillor Mark Leggott in the Chair, there were present Councillors: Richard Leggott, Dave Ball, Paul Anderson, Peter Robinson, Nigel Early and Jo Brigham. County Councillor Michael Brookes was also in attendance. 
Clerk – Miss Sarah Kulwicki
Public: There were no members of public present. 
Absent: Councillors A. Cannon, A. Dring and Borough councillors Chelcei Sharman and George Cornah. 
The chairman declared the meeting open at 7:30 pm. 
1. Chairman’s remarks – The chairman welcomed all present and thanked them for coming. 

2. Apologies for absence – Apologies received and accepted from Councillor Dring and Cannon. 

3. Declarations of interest in accordance with the 2000 Local Government Act – There were none. 

4. The notes from the meeting of the Council held on Tuesday 28th June (attached) to be approved as Minutes and signed by the Chairman
It was: -
Proposed by Councillor R. Leggott and Seconded by Councillor P. Robinson and RESOLVED by all that the notes from 28th June 2022 are approved as minutes and be signed by the Chairman. 

5. Matters arising..
a) Councillor Ball told the council that the trip hazard on the path near Langrick Bridge is still there and there has been yet another accident. 
b) Councillor Brookes told the council that the Highways Manager has issued a job for the reported overgrown hedge on Kirton Drove to be flailed.
c) Councillor Leggott told the council that Sheaf House has cut the hedges back slightly and moved back their newly installed fencing pegs so that it is not encroaching on the highway. 

6. Appointment of a new clerk and handover of council documents – The clerk was asked to print some posters advertising the position and send them to councillor Ball so he can display them in Langrick Bridge store and Station Café. The clerk was also asked to advertise the position again in the Boston Standard and approach LALC to see if anyone would be able to take over temporarily until the position is filled. 

7. To note general correspondence – Nothing to report as all done via email. 

8. To note all planning applications – None.

9. To approve payments of accounts:-
a) Nationwide Press – clerk advert - £256.08
b) Clerks salary (6months) - £380.00 & HMRC - £95.00
It was: -
Proposed by Councillor R. Leggott and Seconded by Councillor J. Brigham and RESOLVED by all that the above payment be approved and duly paid. 

10. Highways matters – Any problems to report
a) Dog waste bin – Councillor Robinson reported that the fouling has gotten worse again. The clerk was asked to write to the chief executive and see what they would suggest. 
b) Grit Bin – The clerk was asked to complete the forms and arrange for a bin to be purchased with the approval of the chairman.
c) Councillor Early reported pot holes on Kirton fen outside Castle Cottage.  
d) Councillor Anderson reported some potholes outside the Meadows on Kirton Drove. 

11. To receive reports from representatives of outside bodies or local organisations
a) County Councillor – Michael Brookes had nothing new to report. Councillor M. Leggott thanked him for all his effort in helping the council resolve some of the issues they have been dealing with. He asked councillor Brookes to report that North Forty Foot Bank still has a big drop off point after the recent resurfacing work and was also asked to report drop off points on the newly resurfaced sections of Kirton Drove and North Forty Foot Bank. Councillor Brookes said that he would address this with him. 
b) Borough Councillor – Chelcei Sharman & George Cornhan – Not present nothing to report. 
c) Police – not present nothing to report. Councillor Leggott told the council that there was a break in at Gill end and they have taken household items and cash. 
        
12. Date of next meeting –Tuesday 1st November 2022, at Holland Fen village hall at 7:00pm.  

13. Any other matters for inclusion on the next agenda – There were none.

The clerk was thanked by the council for all efforts over the years and was handed a gift on behalf of the councillors.
